How do I get to a specific manufacturer's page?
The easiest way to do this is to click on our Menu on the left hand side of the main page.

How do I find a specific stock without having to look for it all over again?
There are two ways of finding the stock you are looking for without having to search the gallery repeatedly. The first, requiring you remember then name of the stock, allows you to have the website search for it directly. Using this option allows you to just simply click the image and it will lead you directly to the stock in question.

Type the name of the stock into the search box.
Example: Win1-01
This will show the item Win1-01 (if the item is still available). Simply click the image and you will be taken to the stock itself.
The Second is the easiest way to find a stock you are interested in. After Registering on our website, you can save any item to your Cart. Doing this does not enable you to purchase them online (feature may be available at a later time), however by saving something to your cart, you are able to come back to our website at a later time, and view all the items you were interested in by clicking "View Cart". *NOTICE* If an item is sold and removed from the gallery, the item (if in your cart) will be removed so as to eliminate any confusion.
How do I Register?
Registration is one of the easiest parts of our website. Simply click the Register Here link on the left hand side, fill in the required information Correctly. Once you have filled in the correct information, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail with a link. Clicking the link will activate your account and will verify your e-mail address. That's it! You're Registered!
Why should I register? What does it do?
Registering allows you to use many new features on our website. Unregistered users are able to view our gallery and purchase our items, however, they are unable to use the cart system and are unable to get a e-mail confirming we have received their package, or that their order is completed and will be shipped out.
What does the cart do?
The cart is a convenience feature mostly. Allowing the customer to save items to a specific location so they may be viewed quickly and easily at any other time. This feature only works from computer to computer, as the items are stored on your computer and not on our website, saving us valuable space enabling us to add more items to the gallery.
Why can't I buy things online?
At this time, we do not allow this feature due to potential problems. A customer may attempt to purchase an item at the same time as another, causing a double sale. Another potential problem, is that a customer may purchase the item, change their mind, and then want a charge back causing a lot of extra work.
This feature may become available at a later time...
My account isn't working right, why? And how do I fix it?
The first thing you should check is are you logged in. As impossible as it may seem, this is the issue half the time. If you are trying to log into an account and you cannot remember the password, please e-mail the webmaster at webadmin@gunstocks.com using the e-mail address used for the desired account. If you use a different e-mail account than what was used for registration, your request will be denied due to possible security risks.
All the stocks are too dark, what do I do?
Try brightening your monitor, there should be a picture of a Sun or an image that is half white and half black. By using these buttons you can adjust the brightness of your monitor allowing you to view colors that appear dark, as bright. Due to the color of our stocks and how the color varies, using another background would make some stocks perfect in brightness, but others too bright and almost a white glare. If there is a stock you wish see brighter, please e-mail the webmaster at webadmin@gunstocks.com and request that he e-mail you the image after brightening it a bit. Please include the name of the stock, and a brief description in case the name is changed later.
What if my question/problem isn't listed??
If your question has not been answered by this FAQ list, please e-mail the system administrator at webadmin@gunstocks.com with your question/problem. If there is no response within about 5 working days, please call us at 1-800-784-4867 and ask for Shane, and he will work you through all the problems you may be encountering.
What is the difference between Order Status and Shipping Status?
Order status is the status of the order itself. I .E. is it complete? Has it been started yet? Where as Shipping Status is, Has it been shipped yet? Tracking your package. Getting a tracking number. DO NOT SEND A QUESTION ABOUT YOUR ORDER TO THE SHIPPING E-MAIL! IT WILL NOT BE ANSWERED!
How do I check the status of my order?
To check the status of your order, you can do two very simple things.
The easiest is to call us on our hotline at 1-800-784-4867 or if you are outside the USA, you can call us at 1-530-671-4570
The second way is to e-mail us at Sales@gunstocks.com and include the kind of rifle/shotgun and the name the order was placed under. If your order was placed under a company name, include the company name!
How do I check the shipping status or get a tracking number?
Send an e-mail to shipping@gunstocks.com and include your name, address, and (if applies) the company name under which the order was taken. Please allow up to 1-3 working days for a response.
How do I order a stock?
There are a couple of ways of ordering a stock. you can use our new online order forms by selecting the Order Now! feature on the left hand side of the screen. Or you can call your order in by phone using our hotline. Our hotline number is as follows: 1(800)784-4867. If you are local (inside the 530 area code) or out of the country (USA) you can try our regular line: 1(530)671-4570.
What is the best way to ship my Rifle/Shotgun?
The best way to ship it would be through a normal Parcel Shipper. (example UPS, USPS, Fed Ex).
Rifle:
The most important thing to remember is to make sure there is no ammunition (spent or live) in the rifle. This may sound like a no brainer, but we receive a number of guns every day, and shipping of a firearm with live ammunition is against Federal Law.
For safety reasons, please remove the bolt from the action and leave it *inside the case* near the forend of the gun. This will help it move through the mail (Customs) faster.
Shotgun:
There are 2 main ways to ship a shotgun.
Break Apart:
With this kind of shotgun, please pull the barrels off the receiver, you can leave the forend on it, but dislocate the barrels from the main action. Again this will help it move through the mail (Customs) faster.Pump/Automatic:
The easiest way to send this type of shotgun is to remove the barrel from the receiver. If it is a twist off, that is the easiest way. However if your barrel does not twist off, just remove the tube for the rounds and the forearm and this will help it move through the mail (Customs) faster.
Why can't I print your web site?
To print our website, highlight the selected items you wish to print. This tells the web site what it is you wish to print. Then select "File" at the top left corner of your browser. Then select "Print".
Once a option box pops up, select "Selection" on the left hand side. Once this is selected, click the "Print" button. This will print what you have selected, and none of the other things on our web site, saving you time, money, and headache.
